TJAC Development has paid $13 million for the Wharfside Village Shopping Center on Powerline Road in Boca Raton.
The center will immediately undergo renovations and be rebranded as The Boardwalk at 18th Street.

Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller, and Stateland Brown represented the buyer.
TJAC Development out of Boston will be working with ZVI Construction, with offices in Boston and Boca Raton. Renovations will include a new boardwalk and several structural upgrades and enhancements.
The mixed-use center includes 107,000 square feet of leaseable space with tenants that include Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Wild Hare Salon & Spa, and Women’s Healthcare Associates, Ress Plastic Surgery, and Boca Pointe Association.
Wharfside is currently 60 percent occupied. TJAC Development, which also owns Fountains Center, is looking to to increase occupancy as part of the rebranding. At the Fountains Center, it took occupancy to 86 percent from 42 percent.
